Donna, Texas – The Donna Police Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety are investigating a tragic two-vehicle crash that claimed the life of 16-year-old Colin Feltis, a beloved student at South Texas ISD Science Academy. The accident occurred Tuesday evening on the westbound lanes of the expressway between Hutto Road and Main Street.

Authorities say the crash happened shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday when a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado rear-ended a 2019 Chevrolet Cruze. The impact left three individuals in the Cruze seriously injured. All were transported to a nearby hospital, where Colin Feltis tragically succumbed to his injuries.
Police have not yet released the conditions of the two surviving passengers or confirmed whether the driver of the Silverado will face any charges. The Donna Police Department and Texas DPS continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
